About 2023 Year End Review

Over the past 41 years that we have run our annual music and arts festival, we have been very proud to bring world-class musical acts and quality children’s arts programming to the Palouse. Our festival this summer was a wonderful success, with excellent performances by Jackie Venson, Tyler and the Train Robbers, Jenny Don’t, and No Soap, Radio!

But now the RITP festival is at a crossroads: since the COVID pandemic, our expenses have soared: the rental of the stage, lighting, and sound equipment and hiring the accompanying technicians has become exponentially more expensive than in years prior. This year we were able to put together a successful festival by raising ticket prices and Rendezvous for Kids fees and renting a smaller stage, but the simple fact remains – unless we can raise sufficient funds for next year, we will not be able to put on a summer festival in 2024.

We know that Rendezvous in the Park is important to you, and so we are reaching out to ask for your support as we try to bring this festival into the future. We are turning to you, our most loyal supporters, to help us continue what we feel is valuable arts programming. To that end, we ask you to please give generously, and please consider including RITP in your year-end giving – this will allow us to pay deposits for the artists that we wish to bring to our community and ensure that we can have a 2024 festival.

We will do our part to cut our festival costs while maintaining the professional quality of our programming, but without your donation, the reality is that we do not have the funds to make a festival happen.

Thank you so much for your loyalty and continued support for Rendezvous in the Park. We believe that this music and arts festival exemplifies Moscow being the Heart of the Arts in Idaho, and we hope to continue to bring quality performances and programs to you for years to come.

With gratitude,

The RITP Board
